The second day of the storm

It snowed all day Thursday. By the time the kids got home from school I figured that the almost foot of snow on the ground needed to take the form of a snow fort. So the Langevin kids came over and helped my boys, Jeffery and I shovel my front yard into a pile, then we dug it out into a snow fort. It was awesome!

The sun is glaring off the fort...but if you look close you can see how big it is.
This is the side walk leading from the side door to the road.

The schools were already closed from Thursday so we knew we had the day off Friday cause it just didn't stop snowing! So we got out of the house at 10 am and went out to help the neighbors dig out.
Brian and I helped at least 8 neighbors in four hours of shoveling! IT was a great workout. The kids...well, they went sledding.
It had snowed so much from Thursday night to Friday morning that you couldn't see that we had done any kind of snow removal the day before!
Our landlord, Joel, brought out the big guns
It was nice when the kids helped shovel
Still snowing!

The snow is as deep as Brock's back pockets

The snow fort on Friday morning. You can see the new foot of snow on top!
