Ice Tea 1$ helping the flood victims of Little Falls

The kids in our neighborhood got together Saturday the 20th to sell Iced Tea to passers bye. They sold it $1 a cup and gave free cookies to those willing to help. All money raised is going to the flood victims of Little Falls. At the end of the day they earned $67. I am so proud of the kids taking their Saturday to help their friends. The PTA of both Little Falls school #2 and #3 are asking students and parents to "buy a heart" by donating whatever money the students desire. The money will go to buying gift cards to Home Depot and other stores to replace items lost. Every family in the flood will benefit. The $67 the kids earned yesterday will go to buying a heart from the kids on Jacobus. There is so much that can be done.

Our missionaries asked their mission president for help and he is willing to get the whole mission involved. I hope they can! So many are having to tear out basements...etc. The sad thing is...the river is still not totally back within its banks and it is going to start raining again tonight through Wednesday morning. A friend of mine has stopped working on her home because they might be flooded again in the next two days. Well, if the missionaries can't do anything to morrow...maybe they can Wednesday after it rains.
