Christmas in Florida part one Kitty Hawk and breakfast in MYRTLE BEACH,
We went to visit Mom and Dad in Tallahassee FL for Christmas this year. They were just finishing up their mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We Started heading South on Monday. We wanted to see country we hadn't yet seen so we stuck close to the coast.
Brock had been studying the Kitty Hawk, the Wright Brother's plane, so we figured we would take a slight detour and got to the monument where the plane was first tried and succeeded. This is the hill the brothers "flew off" of.

This is a bronze replica of the Kitty Hawk. The real one we saw years earlier in the Air and Space Smithsonian in D.C.
This is the view of the shore behind the hotel we stayed in in Myrtle Beach SC. What a beautiful sight! We got into the hotel at 1 am. We knew the lunar eclipse was going on, we got the kids settled and totally forgot! AHHHH! Frustrating! But our room ended up being a sweet with two bedrooms and a full kitchen. It was AWESOME! So I really can't complain! All for the low low price of $50! It was a terrific suite!
A picture of the beach at our hotel. Lovely isn't it?
Tim and So-Young Vandergast were visiting family in Myrtle Beach so we had breakfast with them. This is a picture of the first time we saw them, we were all headed to the diner...
