Day 3 of Brock's birthday celebration this time at Bart Oates home

Brock and Kiapo

Birthday party day 3! Kiapo Bridges (a very good friend from church) is having a birthday this month and planned it for today. Brother and Sister Oates were kind enough to host the party at their home since they are such good friends of the Bridges.

We met Kathi and her son Blaine(Bridges) and the Ramos' at the Morristown Stake Center and watched the morning session of conference there. WOW! Talk about edification! I have never seen anyone bare such an incredible testimony of Jesus Christ in all my life! Brother Holland's talk was so touching and struck me to my core. I couldn't keep the tears out of my eyes. The humble, loving way he spoke of our Savior...I can't wait to read his talk in the Ensign. Then again with President Monson's talk and singing "We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet." It was a very spiritual meeting.

After conference we followed Kathi and Blaine to Brother Bart Oates home to have a lunch and birthday party for Kiapo. Kiapo was sweet enough to share his party with Brock....so the lucky kid got to open another present and eat more cake in his honor.

Brock opening yet another gift!

The lunch and conversation were very enjoyable! Kiapo took the "usual" people into the dining room and let the rest of us chat with Brother Oates in the kitchen and dining area. Bart Oates helped win 2 Superbowl championships with the Giants and 1 for the 49ers. He is a very fun man to be around. His wife Michelle is a very gracious woman and fun to talk to. We had a lovely time with them.

To my utmost delight Kiapo also invited our good friends the Smalls...Jason and Mckenzie. We have had some wonderful times with them as well! It was a very delightful day. We watched the rest of conference at Ramos' and had dinner with them and the missionaries.

Bart, ?...can't remember, sorry! Jason, Brian and Tali

Conference weekends are my most favorite times of the year.

Okay. an hour later and i seriously have to get back to work! That is of course after I download Kenney Chesney's "something sexy about the rain." Hmm. I pretty much read all of 2008. Still can't believe you are only 31. We thought you were definetly younger but girl you are young. You can see it in your pretty face! I really enjoyed reading all the little history about you, brian and the kids and where you are from. That was so cool. it has been fun getting to you know and your little family through the blog and in person of course.
